Flu season is upon us and now is the time to get your flu shot. At Seaside Health Care Services, we take our senior patients’ health seriously, and understand the increased risk of flu complications as we age. We researched influenza in seniors at flu.gov and found the following information very helpful:
Because your immune system weakens as you age, adults age 65 years and older are more susceptible to the flu. It is important all seniors get the flu vaccine.
